Specialists Phil Culhane is a known specialist in the field of Canadian glass and stoneware, as well as Canadiana auctions. Phil has been conducting auctions since 1994, and has conducted 19 highly successful sales as of November 2006. Included in these have been the dispersal of three of the most extensive collections of Canadian Stone Ginger Beers assembled – the Reed Bricker Collection, the David Perch Collection, and in 2005, the Larry Machum Collection. In 2002, Phil co-authored two key works in Canadian bottle history with Scott Wallace – Transfer Printed Ginger Beers of Canada and Primitive Stoneware Bottles of Canada. Both were highly acclaimed and are the standard “bibles” of their respective fields. Phil also published “Canadian Bottle and Stoneware Collector Magazine” from 1992-1995 and again from 2002-2005, a total of 24 issue, with well over 1000 pages of highly researched articles on these specialty fields. |
